Individuals coming to Georgia for research at an authorized educational institution or to study in Georgia through international programs are eligible to extend their D3 immigration visa, unless the grounds for the extension do not allow these individuals to stay in Georgia for more than three months.

The decision made by the visa-issuing authority regarding the issuance or extension of the visa, or the termination of the visa's validity, can be appealed in accordance with Georgian legislation.
